January 8 - Another virtual meeting via zoom members show & share their favorite textiles.
February 5 & 6 - WORKSHOP “Weaving with Supplemental Warps” --Deb Essen check back later to see the woven results!
February 12 - Masked guild members swap and sell equipment, yarns, books & magazines
March 12 - Navajo Weaving, Carol Higman explains how it developed, the Churro sheep wool, the standing loom and characteristics of the Navajo rug
April 9 - Installation of our woven tryptic in the FCCC lobby.
Study Groups ‘Rigid Heddle Weaving’ and ‘Unanticipated Color Result - Bezold Effect’ share their explorations.
May 14 - Three Guilds gather in Starke!
After a short meeting at 10:00, The Gainesville Handweavers' Guild and St Augustine Textile Art Guild join us at 11:30 for 'bring your own' lunch and fiber fellowship. Bring some handwork to work on while relaxing under the trees. Don’t forget your lunch and lawn chairs. For more details see page 2 of newsletter.
